Abstract (EN)
The Flame Working Technique is recognized as one of the glass techniques that has persisted from ancient times to the present, applied to obtain glass products using glass rods or tubes. Soda lime silica glass or borosilicate glass is commonly used in the flame working technique. The unique chemical compositions of these glasses significantly influence the formation mechanisms due to their distinct properties. The coloration of the created glass products can vary significantly based on the proportions of propane gas and oxygen gas in the flame mixture used in shaping. Knowing the correct oxygen and flame settings for these types of glasses is crucial to achieving the desired results. However, there is insufficient information regarding the interaction (color and color tone changes) of glasses used in flame working sod The aim of this thesis is to examine the effect of variations in the amounts of propane gas (LPG) and oxygen gas on the color and color tone of glass products produced using artistic soda lime silica glass with a thermal expansion coefficient of 104x10-7K-1 during the formation stages of flame shaping technique. The color of the glass is a significant choice for expressing the emotions the glass artist intends to convey. If the change in color and color tone is not controlled in the desired manner, it can impact the expression the artwork aims to communicate. In this context, the colors or color tones obtainable from colored glasses will be determined based on flame parameters.
