Abstract (EN)

Turkey?s 15 thermic powerhouse about 55 million tone lignite coal burns in per year. In per year about 13 million tone volatile ash obtains from the burned coal. This exposed volatile ash is give up to natural ecology as churn. The fly ash is given up to natural ecology for very high fill and very high store area to constitute and bring about to ecology and vision pollution. In today?s world; in production of volatile ash and concrete as extra addition or very little addition can be use. For this reason; volatile ash that occupy to natural ecology researchs are doing for return. In experiments, volatile ash is used as main material. As brick clay is used as binder with fly ash, boric acid is used as additive material. In different mix ratio is produced model specimen and there is made optimization study on this experimental study. Technical properties of the samples were measured such as porosity, unit weight, apparent density, water absorption, compressive strength. The main importance of this project is to recycling of termal power plant ashes. As a result of this project, light weight construction blocks will be produced in economic way, deterioration of the agricultural soils is prevented, environmental problems of fly ash land filling is minimized by recycling of the fly ash.
