Abstract (EN)

The concept of crisis especially has been brought to agenda with Western thinkers and it has become the focus point of some philosophers, foremost Nietzche. The concept of crisis that is broader and deeper than conflict probably meaning a kind of life style we confront as an avant-garde structure with all components. Crisis as an alternative refuge area becomes the main issue in the written form of depression and melancholy reflected into the text. Conflict stands in literature as multidirectional concept combining alienation, and othering. The crisis of faithin the area of concept of crisis figures religious belief crisis. The crisis of faith comprises one of thethematic problems in Tevfik Fikret's poems. Besides indicating a psychological issue the concept of depression can be perceived as a deepcrisis and a stimulus showing psychological problems of the poet in the text. Depression has a close relation with melancholy. We can say that depression in Tevfik Fikret's poems is a meaning manufacturer. The aim of this work is to find out Tevfik Fikret's faith crisis and depression and then interpret them.
