Translation of Tezkiretül Evliya (101-140) research of language

Tezkiretü'l Evliya is Persian written work by Feridüddin Attar who is a Sufi poet of Iran, between 1200-1230. The work is about the lifes of the saints, sheikhs, miracles , idea worlds. Due to the fact that it handles the religious issues, this work especially right after the Turks started to use written language was translated into the Anatolian Turkish by different people to enlighten the society in terms of religious aspects. The work called Tezkiretü'l Evliya, which we work on, is the copy of the translation conduct on by Aydınoğlu Mehmet Bey during his period in American Library of Congress, the Mansuri collection in Number 3 of Turkish manuscript. In 1528, the study conducted on the 100th(b) and 140th(b) leaves of the manuscripts, which was copied by Muhammad Hirevi, it consists of introduction, language features, transcribed text and index-dictionary section. In introduction section, it was informed about life of Feriddüddin Attar and his works, work which is called Tezkiretü'l Evliya, translations, interpreters and copies of this work. In second part , the dictation of the work that consist of feature language of Old Anatolian Turkish languages features, sonics and morphology were analyzed and it was explained by examples given from the text. In third part, transcriptional translation of the work was made to modern-day alphabet. In due course of translation, in the parts where necessary, it was made corrections according to context of sentence and it was indicated in footnote. As for fourth part, index-dictionary took part. In this chapter all words in the work were indexed according to alphabetical order. Also, the meanings of the words are given in the text to reveal the vocabulary of the work and the language of foreign vocabulary belong to was indicated. The facsimile section of inspected of the work has been added to the end of thesis.
