Abstract (EN)

This study will examine the reflection of the effects of violence, especially the violence of World War II, on Painting and Theatre between 1939 and 1960. The thesis aims to comparatively research how those who were exposed and/or perpetrated violence in the mentioned period were subject to Painting and Theater Arts and how the artists were affected by this period. The application of violence theory to visual sources will be examined by literature research, written and visual source research through the works in Painting and Theater.
