Özet (EN)

Thyroid dysfunction is associated with changes in body weight, thermogenesis, food intake and energy expenditure. Nowadays abnormal thyroid function is accepted to be associated with the disordered production of hormones released by adipose tissue such as leptin and visfatin. On the other hand ANGPTL3 is characterized as potent lipoprotein lipase inhibitors and therefore as important components of triglyceride homeostasis. In the present study, we aimed to investigate the relationship between thyroid functions and adipocytokines that are released from adipose tissue, named as leptin and visfatin and the Angiopoietin-like Protein 3, a secretory protein that affect adipocity in the patients with normal thyroid functions and thyroid dysfunction.85 participants were included from patients referred to the Polyclinic of Endocrinology and Metabolism, Gazi School of Medicine. 27 patients with hyperthroidism (Serum TSH<0,55mIU/L), 27 patients with hypothyroidism (Serum TSH>4,5mIU/L) and 31 euthyroid, healthy subjects as control group (0,55 mIU/L Keyword: Adipokinler = Adipokines ; Anjiopoietinler = Angiopoietins ; Leptin = Leptin ; Tiroid bezi = Thyroid gland ; Tiroid fonksiyon testleri = Thyroid function tests ; Tiroid hastalıkları = Thyroid diseases
