Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, conjugated thiophene substituted triazole compounds which have has a potential use in electronic applications were synthesized. The structures of the synthesized compounds were characterized by using spectroscopic techniques and their solvatochromic properties were investigated. In the first part of the study, N '- (thiophene-2-carbonyl) thiophene-2-carbohydrazide was obtained from the reaction thiophene-2-carbonyl chloride with hydrazine. The obtained N '- (thiophene-2-carbonyl) thiophene-2-carbohydrazide was refluxed with phosphorus pentachloride in toluene to give N- (chloro (2-thiophenyl) methylene) thiophene-2-carbohydrazonoyl chloride. Thiophene substituted triazole compounds were obtained by reaction of N- (chloro(2-thiophenyl) methylene) thiophene-2-carbohydrazonoyl chloride with the substituted aniline derivatives in dimethylformamide (DMF). The structures of both the products synthesized in the intermediate steps and the resultant products were characterized by using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. In the second stage of the study, the synthesized thiophene-substituted triazoles in different solvents were examined and evaluated by Ultraviolet-Visible Spectroscopy (UV-VIS). In the last stage, the HOMO-LUMO band gap energy and NMR values of these synthesized substances were calculated theoretically and compared with experimental datas.
