Abstract (EN)
With the effect of globalization and technology, organizations are updating themselves in order to survive and compete with their competitors. Today, one of the applications that organizations use to improve their activities is total quality management applications. Total quality management aims at customer satisfaction by increasing the quality of products and services at all levels of the organization. Therefore, the motivation and job satisfaction of employees who come into contact with customers in the organization are important. Job satisfaction refers to the level of satisfaction that employees feel from their work. The opportunities and facilities offered to employees in the organization directly affect job satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to measure the effect of total quality management applications on job satisfaction of employees. This study aims to determine the effect of total quality management applications used in the internal dynamics of universities that train the decision makers, qualified personnel and managers of the future on job satisfaction. In this context, a survey study, one of the quantitative research methods, was conducted on 249 administrative personnel working at Adıyaman University. As a result of the obtained data, factor, correlation and regression analyses, which are the most commonly used test types in scientific research, were conducted to determine the relationships between the sub-dimensions of total quality management (support of senior management, suggestions of employees, use of information, relations with suppliers, quality improvement, customer focus, continuous improvement, trust in the manager) and the dimension of job satisfaction. In addition, the descriptive statistics and results of the participants regarding the expressions in the scale were examined. At the same time, t-test was applied to determine the statistical difference between two groups for the variables of gender and marital status from demographic characteristics. One-way variance (anova) test was applied to determine the statistical difference between three or more groups for the variables of age, education status, working period in the institution and monthly income from other demographic characteristics. As a result of the analysis findings, it was concluded that total quality management practices at Adıyaman University have a positive and significant effect on the job satisfaction of employees.
