Abstract (EN)
This thesis investigates the effectiveness of quality control processes and internal failure analysis in mass housing constructions. Quality control stands out as a critical factor in ensuring compliance with specified standards in construction projects, continuously improving product and service quality, increasing productivity, and reducing costs. In the construction sector, customers mostly purchase a product to which they do not have full access prior to completion. Therefore, the concept of quality is not limited only to meeting the expectations of the final product; it also depends on controls maintained at every stage of the production process. Through inspections at each production phase, non-conforming works are identified and necessary corrective actions are taken to ensure the quality of the final product. The ineffective implementation of quality control processes in projects increases the probability of project failure and causes serious problems in terms of time, cost, and customer satisfaction. Internal failures mostly result from planning errors, inadequate resource management, technical deficiencies, and workforce-related problems; these factors prevent the timely and budgeted completion of projects. Therefore, understanding the reasons for internal failures and developing strategies to eliminate them is of great importance for project management. This thesis aims to identify, analyze, and develop solutions to minimize the impacts of internal failures in mass housing projects. The planning, implementation, and supervision of quality control processes are examined, and existing problems are identified through data obtained from field applications, leading to improvement recommendations. By comparing successful and unsuccessful projects, the effects of quality control and internal failure analysis on project outcomes are demonstrated with concrete data. In light of the findings, suggestions to increase quality in mass housing constructions and applicable strategies for preventing internal failures have been developed.
