Abstract (EN)
It is one of the novels of Orhan Kemal, which is evaluated in the line of social realistic art movement On Fertile Lands. Indeed, the work has remained within the lines of social realism line in places. In particular, the author has demonstrated a socialistic realistic approach through his efforts to comply with the criteria of creating "class consciousness" and "positive types." However, in many ways, his novel On Fertile Lands has also moved away from the socialistic realistic art movement. Because Orhan Kemal, in his novel, tried to reveal a view that believes in the goodness of even the worst person, no matter what circumstances he lives under. It can be said that, although his novel was influenced by the ideological structuring of the social realism On Fertile Lands, Orhan Kemal walked a line in which he had an optimistic attitude and called it "Luminous Realism."
