Özet (EN)
The aim of this research is to determine the frequency and types of the cyber violence that women are exposed to, and the factors that affect it. In the scope of the study, the online questionnaires were sent to 18.000 females via Facebook advertisements and filled by 555 participants and 550 questionnaires were analyzed. Data based on the questionnaires were collected by the researcher through "Women Based Violence Questionnaire". This questionnaire was prepared by collecting questions from previous researches and searching the related literature. As a research model, a cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted. According to the findings obtained from the research; the proportion of women exposed to cyber violence was determined as 59.8 %. The most common examples of violence against women are exposure to unwanted messages, sexually transmitted messages / media, and their profile. Participants were found to have a statistically significant relationship between the age groups, marital status, frequency of internet use, and the samples of the cyber violence they were exposed to. Participants at the ages between 18-30 and who has a relationship and had a daily average internet use more than 6 hours were found to have higher exposure to a sample of violent cases of cyber than the other groups. The reactions of the participants who were exposed to the cyber-violence appeared to be 'forgetting the event' and 'anger'. When they examined what they were doing, it was determined that women mostly deleted the attacking messages, hid social network accounts, blocked followers, and changed social media / e-mail addresses. Women who do not ask for help from anywhere incase the problems they are experiencing have been identified as 'managing their causes' and 'thinking they are not serious enough'.
