Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to consider Murray Bookchin's social ecology theory in the context of totalitarianism and to reveal the totalitarian potentials of social ecology. In this regard, first of all, the relationship between nature and society was examined from different conceptual perspectives by conducting a literature review. Based on Bookchin's writings, the theory of social ecology is discussed in detail and the vision of ecological society is explained. The meaning, structure and relationships expressed by Bookchin in social ecology theory; It was analyzed and discussed in line with the concept of totalitarianism. As a result of this analysis, it has been concluded that Murray Bookchin's theory of social ecology has totalitarian cores and that the ecological society he envisions has the possibility and potential to turn into totalitarianism.
