Abstract (EN)

Social reality in art shows itself as a manner of narration with the industrialization, urbanization starting in the west in 19th and social structure being political in the 20th century. It obtained a new point of view with the social changing in social reality in Europe, Mexico, and Russia by people of art. In this study, It is aimed to be analysed that How social reality movement effected Turkish drawing and people of art moreover how this interaction reflected their works in institutional framework. This study is important to see attitude of people of art to social reality and the reflection on their works with the art occurred in turkey between in 1950 and 2010. This study is limited to Turkish drawing people of art and their works on social reality. The study is figured in the screening model.In this study consequently besides the drawings for the poor part of society westernization and modernization in a parallel way with industrialization work and worker problem and migration matter became a subject for drawings the restrictions occurred after the strokes in 1960s as happened in the literature in the drawing field also some subjects attract attention such as freedom, arresting torture. After 1980 with the concept of consumption, apart from some drawing using the subjects of people who are isolated, scared, and aggressive it is seen that in current art approaches some people of art reflect social problems in a critical way.Key Words: Social reality, Nuri iyem, Neşe Erdok, Gürkan Coşkun, Cihat Burak, Hakan Gürsoytrak.
