Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between innovation and culture, which is regarded as one of the most important sources of competitive superiority in the globalizing world, with evolving technology and rapid change. In this study, the concepts of social culture, organizational culture and innovation are examined and the relation between them is investigated. A questionnaire was applied to the personnel that are working within the companies operating in various sectors in the organized industrial zones of Giresun province, and data were obtained from 350 participants. For the analysis of the obtained data, IBM SPSS 26.0 (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) and IBM SPSS AMOS (Analysis of Moment Structures) package programs were used and Frequency Analysis, Reliability Analysis, Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Path Analysis were performed. It was concluded that the concept of masculinity that is one of the subscale of culturel values has a negative effect on the level of innovation. Besides, it was determined that pluralism which is also one of the subscale of culturel values has a partial effect on the level of innovation. Contrary to what was expected, in the research, the mediating effect of the organizational culture on the innovation level of social culture could not be determined at any level.
