The expectations of society from the colleges of education and level of corresponding

The aim of this current study was to investigate the expectations of people, who were from different levels of the society, from the Colleges of Education and find out the level of corresponding. This study took place in the city center of Afyonkarahisar. The researcher used a questionnaire as data instrument. To define the structural validity of the instrument which is consisted of 56 items at first, a factor analysis was made.54 items which change between 41-82 were fixed with the result of factor analysis. Two items were eliminated from questionnaire. And the reliability of the instrument was calculated as.92.The study revealed that most of the people involved in the study gave the highest score for the item -31 with mean 1,03 , ?lifelong learning and to educate teachers who have priority to renew themselves?. This was the highest level of expectations of people from the Colleges of Educations. The mean score of this view with mean 1,19 was corresponding to the interval, ?Yes?.Furthermore, the corresponding levels for expectations of the people saying ?yes? were examined in general, mostly they chose the item 41 with mean 3, 34 stating ?The Colleges of Education should educate teachers who accept and devote their life for Atatürk?s principles and reforms?. This outcome comes to the interval ?partial corresponding? with mean 2, 95. In general, study showed that the expectation level of society from the Colleges of Education was almost equal to the corresponding level of expectations.
