Abstract (EN)

Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the the intra rater and inter rater reliability and validity of universal goniometer, digital inclinometer and smartphone application measuring range of motion in patients with total knee arthroplasty. Methods: To assess the inter rater reliability the first examiner applied two measurement and to assess the intra rater reliability two examiners applied two different measurement. The range of motion of the knee joint was assessed with universal goniometer, digital inclinometer and smartphone application. To asseessed the statistics intra class correlation coefficient and spearman correlation rho values were used. Results: The intra rater and inter rater reliability of the subjects that determined by two examiners was found statistically higher intra class correlation coeffficient with 0.749 – 0.949. The concurrent validity rho values was also showed statisticilly significantly higher correlation with the result of 0.775 – 0.941. Conclusion: As a result it was found that universal goniometer, digital inclinometer and smartphone application is reliable and valid assessment tools in clinic practice for the patients with total knee arthroplasty.
