Abstract (EN)

Aluminum and steel which are immutable materials of industry are used especially in vehicle industry. However; Aluminum is not preferred for vehicle engines because it has low strength and wear endurance steel materials are preferred instead of Aluminum. In this study, Aluminum alloy (Al 5754) and SEA 1030 steel materials are plated by using powder flame spraying including different powder. The smoothness, micro temper, microform and wear reaction of overlay examined and results compared with each other. At the end of the optic microscopy study; it was ascertained that oxide, porosity and the amount of unmated particles didn?t vary in the layer of properties of the substrate. As a consequence of micro temper measurements, it was ascertained that the layer properties of substrate didn?t vary. As a result of abrasion studies it was seen that microtemperness and abrasion were inversely proportional and the reactions of Aluminum alloy and steel were the same. By using this technique, it is possible to produce materials being light and resistant to abrasion instead of heavy materials. Key Words: Wear, Coating, Micro-Form, Micro-Structure, Powder Flame Spraying.
