Abstract (EN)

Uterine evacuation (termination of pregnancy) is a medically and legally significant procedure that is subject to regulation across various areas of the legal system, as it is considered too important to be left solely to individual discretion or limited to authorized professionals. Despite this regulatory framework, both the legislation and its implementation contain ambiguous and inconsistent elements, particularly regarding the issues explored in this study. Furthermore, since the procedure involves ending the life of a living being, it naturally gives rise to a variety of perspectives influenced by moral and conscientious values. This study draws on the views of individuals who are directly involved either in the practice of uterine evacuation or in shaping its legal framework. Through individual in-depth interviews with these key stakeholders, the research aims to uncover the inconsistencies and challenges encountered in practice. The Individual In-Depth Interview Method, a qualitative research technique commonly used in the social sciences, was employed in this thesis. This approach differentiates the study from conventional criminal law analysis and enables the generation of solution-oriented findings based on identified legal and practical issues.
