Abstract (EN)

Following the introduction of antibiotics in clinical use, resistancy to antibiotics has occurred in bacteria. In these antibiotics, beta lactamases are the first one. In this thesis, investigation of antibiotic resistance profiles and diversity of beta lactamase genes in Klebsiella pneumoniae strains from the hospitals in Trabzon and Giresun provinces was aimed. In this study, it was found beta lactamase genes by PCR in 81 Klebsiella pneumonia strains from Akçaabat Haçkalı baba State Hospital and Giresun State Hospital to our laboratuaries. The cloned samples obtained from PCR fragments were sequenced by Macrogen Inc. According to antibiotic resistance studies, the most effective antibiotics against the bacteria from Akçaabat Haçkalı baba State Hospital were imipenem and meropenem, although ampicilline-sulbactam and trimetoprime-sulfometaxazole were not effected. The most effective antibiotics against the bacteria from Giresun State Hospital were imipenem and meropenem, too. Also these strains were resistant to seftazidim and sefazoline. Although there weren't any blaIMP, blaOXA-48, blaOXA-58, blaPER-2, blaGES, blaVIM, blaVEB, and blaNDM-1genes in alla isolates, blaSHV, blaTEM, blaCTX-M1, blaCTX-M2, blaOXA-23, blaOXA-24, and blaOXA-51 were found in 40, 10, 10, 1, 9, 2, and 2 isolates, respectively.
