Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, active (Multichannel Analysis of Surface Waves-MASW) and passive source (Single Station Microtremor Method) surface wave methods have been used to determine the soil behavior and soil-structure interaction under static and dynamic loads by conducting geophysical studies in the study area which is located 10 km to Trabzon city center. By the help of MASW method; shear wave velocities (VsM, Vs10M, Vs30M), soil predominant period (TMASW), soil amplification (AMASW, AHSAMASW) and bedrock depth (D) information have been obtained while by using the spectral ratios of single station microtremor records (HVSR and S/R), predominant periods (THVSR, TREF) and soil amplifications (A, H/V) were obtained. By Inversion of the Raylegih Wave Ellipticity, shear wave velocities (VsE, Vs10E, Vs30E), soil predominant periods (TEllip) and soil amplifications (AEllip, AHSAEllip) were calculated. In addition, ground shear stresses (GSS) were calculated in the study area. The results were compared with the sections to understand which method is produce more accurate and reliable result in which case in. According to these results in the landslide areas; soil class is ZD (TDBY), D (NEHRP), C (Eurocode 8), ground predominant periods change between 0.8-1.3 sec, ground magnifications range of 5-6, Vs30 values change between 278-460 m/sec and GSS parameters range of 10-1-10-2. The other parts of the study area introduce these results; ground class is ZC (C, B), ground predominant periods change between 0.1-0.5 sec, ground magnifications range of 1-2, Vs30 values range between 301-780 m/sec and GSS parameters range of 10-3-10-4.
