Abstract (EN)

Since the 19th century, with the process of modernization, novels have reflected the relationship between science and society, addressing the impacts of technological revolutions. The science fiction genre reveals how technology transforms literary narratives, while transhumanism explores humanity's desire to transcend its limitations through technology, questioning the ethical, philosophical, and artistic dimensions of this process. In the digital age, literary works reach wider audiences through virtual platforms, and technological advancements such as big data and artificial intelligence give rise to new themes in literary storytelling. Some academic approaches argue that literary production has historically been directly related to social structures and technological progress. With modernity, humanism—guided by reason and science—has given way to post-humanism, which emphasizes the deep relationship between humans and technology. Art and technology have always been mutually reinforcing forces. Today, artificial intelligence transforms artistic creations, generating new forms. In this context, transhumanism not only involves biological interventions but also fosters new and manipulative synergies in artistic activities. Turkish literature has contributed to the literary universe by producing works that reflect these synergies. This thesis will first provide a general framework for transhumanist thought and then analyze its reflections in Turkish literature through specific novels. KeyWords: Transhumanism, Posthumanism, Art, Literature, Manipulation
