Abstract (EN)

Digital technologies have contributed to the development of audience-oriented broadcasting and have brought passive viewers to an active position. As media usage patterns become more integrated with new technologies, the change and transformation experienced has revealed an interactive audience mode. This has created the need for multinational media companies to engage the masses through stories that circulate seamlessly across different platforms. The concept of transmedia storytelling has emerged exactly as a result of this need. In this study, the scope of transmedia storytelling is examined with children's programs and it is aimed to evaluate all kinds of concepts and symbols that refer to religious belief, religion-oriented life and values in the context of religion and values. The analysis of the codes contained in the narratives created for children is important within the scope of the study. The universe of the study is TRT Child, the most watched children's channel in Turkey. The sample group of the study was determined as Rafadan Crew, Aslan, Haberin Olsun and Wind Rose programs. In the study, the findings obtained through literature review and document review were analyzed using content analysis and situation analysis methods. As a result of the study, it was determined that the children's programs broadcast on TRT Child channel included narratives about religion and values, in which transmedia storytelling was used as a narrative strategy. A significant relationship was found between transmedia storytelling and the presentation of the phenomenon of religion and values.
