Abstract (EN)
This study aimed to examine the relationship between demographic variables and loss-related variables with the main variables of the study and the mediating role of deliberate rumination, intrusive rumination, and creativity in the relationship between core beliefs disruption and posttraumatic growth, and establish a model that includes these variables. The sample of the study consists of 284 participants between the ages of 18-67, living in Turkey and who have experienced loss/losses due to death at least one year ago, and who were 10 years old or older when they experienced the loss that affected them the most. Demographic Information Form, Core Beliefs Inventory, Event-Related Rumination Inventory, Kaufman Domains of Creativity Scale, and Post Traumatic Growth Inventory-X were administered to the participants. As a result of the statistical analyses, positive and significant relationships were observed between the main variables of the study. It was found that there were significant relationships between the main variables of the study and the variables determined for demographics and loss. It was noted that there were significant differences in the variables of the study depending on gender, and whether the loss was expected or sudden. The parallel multiple mediator analysis results indicate that deliberate ruminations and creativity mediated the relationship between the disruption of core beliefs and posttraumatic growth. The results of the study were discussed in the light of the relevant literature, and the clinical implications and limitations of the study were evaluated.
