Özet (EN)
In that study, searching the prohibitive effect of trigeminovascular system on vasospasm in experimental subarachnoid bleeding model was aimed.Thirty Sprauge ? Dawley male rats was used in that study. Five groups were formed as ligation group which solely trigeminovascular system was activated fourteen days before sacrification, the group of both activation of trigeminovascular system fourteen days before sacrification and SAH was occured, the group of solely SAH was occured, the group of both SAH and activation of trigeminovascular system was occured concurrently two days before sacrification, and control group which nothing was done. Animals was sacrified fourtyeight hours later subarachnoid heamorrhage was occured.According to hystopathologic examinations and both basillar artery lumen diameter and wall thickness measurments, least average artery lumen diameter was seen in solely SAH group. Also vessel wall thickening was seen in thah group which was not seen in other groups. The highest artery lümen diameter was seen in the group of solely trigeminovascular system activation was done. The results of the group of concurrently SAH and activation of trigeminovascular system were occured, revealed that there was no narrowing in vessels lümen. On the contrary, vessels lumen diameter was enlarged but wall thickness did not change in control group. As expected, comparison with the group of solely SAH was occured, the group of concurrently SAH and ligation were occured, had more prohibitive effect on average artery lümen diameter and call thickness. If number of experimental animals can be raised, the results will be statistically more significant.Consequently we decided that determination of prohibitive effect of trigeminovascular system on vasospasm in experimental subarachnoid bleeding model can be done with studies which has higher number of exoerimental animals.
