Investigation of the opinions of clarinet artists who work in TRT to clarinet in Turkish music and its use in education

The clarinet, which introduce the Turkish music culture in the 1900s, is seen as an important wind instrument in the world music culture. The instrument, which started to be used in the 18th century, started use to increase especially after it entered the orchestras in 1750. There are many types of clarinet family and these clarinet types are used in orchestras in the world. In Turkish music, Left clarinet is used among these clarinet types. İbrahim Efendi, Şükrü Tunar and Mustafa Kandıralı can be shown among the most important performers of the clarinet, which was used in our country especially in the 1900s. The entry of the clarinet into the state channel TRT was supported by Mesud Cemil in the 1949s. Since then, it has been an important instrument of Turkish music choirs. This study examined the views of the clarinet artists working in TRT Institution about the place and use of clarinet in Turkish music. In this study, it is aimed to reach the data regarding how suitable the clarinet instrument used in every field of Turkish music in our country is to our music, whether it is right to perform in TRT and state choirs, in what kind of music and in what way it should be performed. In addition, it is aimed to determine the artist's views on clarinet education in conservatories which is Turkish music education. He used a semi-structured interview technique to obtain data in the study. In addition, it is thought that this research will be an answer to the question of "whether clarinet can be used in TRT and choirs" and will also shed light on the field of clarinet education and create a perception in terms of its involvement in education (conservatory).
