Abstract (EN)

Non-Wood Forest Products (NWFP) and related investments are very important tools for the development of poor rural areas. For the development of forest villagers, removing the forests from the wood raw material production axis, supporting the production of NWFP in these areas and providing various subsidies will be very beneficial in terms of providing rural income increase. In this context, the production of truffles has started to be given importance with the amount of nutrients, aromatic taste, economic value and export potential. In order to meet the increasing demand in the world, many countries are striving to increase their production through truffle afforestation in regions with suitable growing characteristics. One of the countries that can be performed in accordance with ecological and edaphic conditions that truffle production in Turkey in the production of these products is rapidly spreading. In this thesis, a study was conducted for the improvement of truffle production in Turkey. For this purpose, Kozcağız, Günye and Hasankadı Forest Management Chiefs, where truffles are most naturally distributed in Bartın region, have been determined as working areas. Later, the current situation in the chief offices was determined with the Pre-Evaluation Criteria. Accordingly, 87 Potential Truffle Afforestation (PTA) areas with a size of 755.5 ha were determined on the basis of division / division based on the relevant management plans. viii Subsequently, the relevant fields were listed with the Ranking Technique. In the ranking, a calculation consisting of 23 sub-criteria scoring under five criteria was performed. In this way, the PTA area of 82.2 ha, which was reduced to 11 by Ranking, was calculated with the ELECTRE Technique in line with the criteria weights determined by the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). As a result of the calculations, the PTP areas are listed as 3>5=6=7=8=9>2=11>4>1=10. According to the order, the most suitable site for truffle afforestation was the PTA site number 3, namely the Mzbc3-2 field of 6.3 ha located in the section no 114 in Kozcağız. As a result of the study, it was determined that the activities to be carried out and the revenues to be obtained in PTA areas will be an important source of income in rural development, since the PTA sites are in the forest, and some suggestions have been made accordingly. Key words: Truffle Mushroom (Tuber melanosporum) Afforestation, Prioritization, AHP, ELECTRE, Bartın. Scientific Field Code: 502.05.01
