Özet (EN)

In this study, the usability of brick dust waste in soil stabilization was examined. Within the scope of the study, a low plasticity clayey soil and brick dust waste were mixed at 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% without lime and 6% with lime. Unconfined compressive strength, freezing-thawing and wetting-drying tests were performed on the samples prepared at optimum water contents. At the end of 28 days of curing, the maximum strength was obtained from the SLB/10 sample containing natural soil, 6% lime and 10% brick dust waste. It was determined that this sample has 12 times more strength than natural soil and 2 times more strength than SL sample, which contains natural soil and 6% lime. According to the freezing-thawing and wetting-drying cycle results, SLB samples prepared with brick dust waste and lime additives showed a more stable behavior compared to SB samples prepared with only brick dust waste. According to the results of the experiments, it is possible to say that usage of brick dust waste with lime in low plasticity clayey soil improves strength and durability.
