Abstract (EN)

Introduction and objective: In this study, we aimed to compare the respiratory symptoms and diseases between the workers working in the brick factory and the normal population in Afyonkrahisar province Materials and Methods.: The questionnaire for the sample of the healthy family, which had been selected from brick factories and randomly selected from Afyonkarahisar in June 2017 and July 2017, was translated into Turkish and the question was asked by the research assistant one by one and the physical examinations and FeNO measurements were carried out and saturation and pulse values were taken in the measurements. In terms of measuring the dust levels of the area, the OSGB measurements was taken and the current values in their hand were used. Findings: The mean ages of the cases (brick factory workers and control subjects) were 32.3 and 34.8 years respectively and the age of the cases was between 16-65 years. All the cases vere male gender, there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups (p <0,05) in terms of coughing dyspnea and respiratory rate among the respiratory symptoms. Respiratory function values were similar .There was a significant statistical difference in FeNO values in brick factory workers compared to the control subjects Conclusion: There are intensive brick factories in Afyonkarahisar region and there are statistically significant respiratory symptoms and differences according to the results obtained without working according to the normal population in the workers working there KEY WORDS: Occupation, brick factory, respiratory symptom, FeNO
