Abstract (EN)
From past to present, people have felt the need to travel and see new places. With technology and developing social conditions, this need has increased day by day. The geographical and cultural richness of our country and the need to discover new places have pioneered the developments in package tour contracts in the tourism sector. With the Law on Consumer Protection No. 6502 and the New Package Tour Contracts Regulation, special regulations have been made in order to protect the consumer in package tour contracts. In this study, package tour contracts included in the Law on Consumer Protection have been examined. Package tour contracts are contracts in which everything is included, including transportation, accommodation, and at least two other tourism services not related to transportation and accommodation services, between tour participants who are consumers and package tour organizers or intermediaries. The services sold or promised to be sold in package tour contracts must include one night's accommodation or a period longer than twenty-four hours. In this thesis, the elements of package tour contracts, their legal nature, the rights and obligations of the parties, and the termination of the contract are emphasized, and a general framework has been drawn regarding these contracts, which have an important place today.
