Abstract (EN)

This investigation was performed to discuss the chemical analysis of broken and river sand samples taken from various points of Tunceli province by making use of X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectrometer. These samples were taken from central, Ovacık, Pertek and Hozat districts of Tunceli province. Brook sand samples were taken from Pertek and Hozat districts and Harçik territory of the central district, and broken sands were taken from Ovacık and Hozat districts. XRF spectrometer was used for the corresponding analysis. In the analysis results, we determined percentage(%) values of MgO, Al2O3, SiO2, P2O5, SO3, Cl, K2O, CaO, TiO2, V2O5, Cr2O3, MnO, Fe2O3, CoO, NiO, CuO, ZnO compounds and some elements such as Mg, Al, Si, P, S, Cl, K, Ca, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn. In addition, the locations of the sand samples are shown as points on the map. According to the analysis results, we see that the Pertek river sand samples include the highest Si and SiO2 amounts. Hozat broken-2 samples has the highest Ca and CaO values. Additionally, comparisons of other elements and compounds were also presented.
