The cultural life of the ancient Uyghurs according to the ancient Uyghur texts in the Turfan Region

In the Turfan region ancient Uyghur texts are one of the primary sources about the cultures of Uyghurs before Islam. Studies conducted on these resources are usually conducted on specific documents and areas. In this study, the information written by the ancient Uyghurs about their daily lives was examined and compared with Chinese sources and archaeological data. Although Uyghur civil documents are mainly used in our thesis study, various Uyghur Buddhist prayers, an example of the wedding text of Nesturi Uyghurs, an official document written by the Uyghur khan from the time Uyghurs arrived in the Turfan Region, and various contracts are included.
