Abstract (EN)
Discourse occupies a considerable place in the poetry of Turgut Uyar, who produced literature with a unique aesthetic performance and left an impact on the Turkish literature through his poetry as well as his thoughts about how literature should be built. Breakings in discourse was always an important factor in shaping Uyar's aesthetic structure. The aim of this thesis is to examine the relation between discourse and Turgut Uyar's poetry and detect the results of this relation in his poems. This thesis, which is consists of three chapters, suggests that discourse is one of the constituent elements in Turgut Uyar's poetry. In the first chapter, Turgut Uyar's life and his opinion about literature and poetry are explained, and information is given about where Turgut Uyar's poetry is located within the context of criticism of İkinci Yeni. The second chapter explains the terms discourse, ideology, modernization and modern. In the third chapter Turgut Uyar's poetry is analyzed within the scope of mentioned terms. It is seen that discourse alteration and poetic breakthrough exist together in Turgut Uyar's literature.
