Abstract (EN)

It is not possible to comprehend the subtleties and functioning of our language, which has existed for centuries, only by examining the official language that continues its existence with the function of "written language". Because, besides the "written lan-guage", there are different dialects that change according to regions and regions and that continue their existence for many years without deterioration. In order to under-stand and comprehend our writing language and to examine the history of words for-mation, dialects must be investigated and examined to the finest points. Dialect studies are a direct source for Turkish Language, but also contribute to many disciplines such as history, folklore, sociology, etymology. Until now, there has not been a dialect study of Turhal district and villages of Tokat. The fact that Turhal and its villages have distinct dialects from other regions made our region valuable in terms of language studies. In this thesis, 15 texts reflecting the general speech characteristics of Turhal and its villages were compiled. These texts were transcribed with the transcription signs rec-ommended by TDK. The phonetic and morphological features of the texts were deter-mined. A dictionary containing the words used in our region was added to the last section.
