Abstract (EN)

Tourism activities are activities that are carried out at a global level today and provide important sources of income for the countries that are the target of these activities. However, the tourism sector is not only a service sector considered within the framework of economics. It is accepted that the tourism sector has many different aspects such as social, cultural, economic and managerial aspects. This makes the tourism sector an interdisciplinary field of study and leads to the sector being examined by different branches of science. One of the disciplines that focus on the tourism sector is security sciences. It is known that individuals participating in tourism activities choose destinations by considering some basic parameters. The perception of security, which is among these parameters, is shaped around the idea that individuals who will participate in tourism activities will participate in tourism activities safely in the regions they will visit and return to their residences in a healthy way. Indeed, it can be stated that the most basic expectation of individuals who will participate in tourism activities is to return home without any problems. Undoubtedly, meeting this expectation will only be possible with effective and effective security policies implemented specifically for the tourism sector. In this study, the issue of security and safety management in the context of the tourism sector is discussed. Within the scope of the study, the importance of security perception for the tourism sector was tried to be revealed and the framework of the policies that should be implemented in order to establish an effective tourism security system was drawn. The results of the study emphasize that the tourism sector has a versatile and multilateral owner, and that the security services to be carried out within the context of the tourism sector should be diversified by taking into account the dynamics of the region where they are offered.
