Abstract (EN)
In this study, the crime of fraud through information systems, which is regulated in paragraph f of article 158 of the Turkish Penal Code No.5237, is examined. During the analysis within the framework of the general theory of crime, the crime of fraud has been scrutinized from the perspective of informatics. Information systems and the concepts of cheating, which are the two most important elements in the elucidation of crime, are examined in detail and the opinions in the relevant doctrine are given. In addition to this, the methods of fraud through information systems have been pointed out and other information crimes that are likely to be confused in practice have been explained and the differences between these crimes and fraud crimes through information systems are tried to be determined.
