Abstract (EN)
Jews, who have been subjected to violence, oppression, exile and marginalization in the historical process, started to adopt the idea of "Political Zionism" as a reaction to the increasing anti-Semitism in 19th century Europe, especially with the liberal and nationalist ideas brought about by the French Revolution, as well as religious and economic reasons. Although the Ottoman Empire's intolerance of the Jews, who were in search of a homeland, daring to use Palestine under its administration as a bargaining chip undoubtedly led the Zionists to pessimism, the British issuance of the Balfour Declaration in 1917 and the subsequent occupation of Palestine, on the one hand, rekindled the fading hopes of the Jews, and on the other hand, caused the Arabs in the region to worry and despair. There is no doubt that the idea of establishing a homeland and the "expansionist" policy pursued by the Zionists towards the Palestinian territories have pushed the Middle East, where tensions, conflicts and wars have not been absent from the past to the present due to its historical, cultural and geopolitical position, into a spiral of violence day by day, causing blood and tears until today. In this struggle in which the Jews set out with the dream of establishing a homeland, Turkey's aid to the refugee problem that emerged with their official or unofficial migration to Palestinian territories between 1945 and 1960, and their search for material and moral support constitute the main lines of our study.
