The Turkish image in the textbooks that teach Turkey's Turkish language in the Turkish world

Today, it is recognized that learning grammar in language teaching is not enough and new methods have been introduced. It should be kept in mind that language is a culture transmitter in the context of language-culture relationship. Learning a language also means learning the culture of that nation. Therefore, in books prepared for language teaching to be more effective, attention should be given to transfer culture. In the books prepared for a language teaching, an image can be created in the minds of the people with the transfer of culture or this image can be changed if there is an image formed. The aim of this study was to investigate the Turkish image in the textbooks that teach Turkey's Turkish language in the Turkish world. Firstly, the concepts of culture, image and imagery which guiding the study are explained. In the next section, information about Turkish image in the Turkish World is given. The Soviet period, whose effect on the independent Turkish Republics cannot be underestimated, is examined under a separate title. In the last part of the study, ''Turkish with Basic, Intermediate, Advanced Turkish Exercises and Texts for Turkish World'' and ''We are Learning Turkish Orkhun'' the texts and exercises in the books were examined; and the Turkish image created in these books has been identified and evaluated.
