Articles on poet, short stories, and novels; poets, storytellers, and novelists in the Turkish Literature magazine: Criticism and index (Issues 201–300)

Journals are periodical publications that reflect the social and political events of their time(s). They contribute to the development of society in terms of thought, culture, and art. Literary journals, in particular, accommodate a wide range of literary genres simultaneously. In these publications, one may encounter both established authors and emerging young writers presenting their first works. Turkish Literature magazine published its first issue in January 1972 and continues to be a long-running "thought and art" periodical to this day. Conducting scholarly research on such a long-standing publication from various perspectives holds great significance, especially for the fields of Turkology and the social sciences. The journal has featured writings in diverse genres. In addition to poems and short stories, it includes book reviews, interviews with artists, and analyses of poems, novels, and short stories, as well as essays about poets, novelists, and short story writers. However, many of these contributions remain confined to the journal's pages. Bringing these texts to light and introducing them to a wider audience constitutes the main objective of this study. This study focuses on issues 201 to 300 of Turkish Literature magazine, covering the period from July 1990 to October 1998. Within these selected issues, texts concerning poetry, short stories, novels, and their respective authors have been classified. The collected articles have been listed under the headings of journal issue, author, and subject (or the person/topic discussed). The first part of the study, titled "Articles on Poetry and Poets in Turkish Literature Magazine," is composed of five sections. The second part, titled "Articles on Short Stories, Novels, and Their Authors in Turkish Literature Magazine," is likewise structured into five sections. The third part presents lists of the relevant writings according to journal issue, author, and subject/person discussed. This study is intended to serve as a resource for those seeking information about the magazine or those interested in this type of content published during that period.
