In Turkish literature verse Hz. Ali cenk-namas and Ayân-Zâde Ibrahim Sükri's mahtnawis named Kissa-i Kan Kalasi with Hikâye-i Hâver-zemin

In Turkish literature, the most remarkable literary genre, formed around Hz. Ali's life and his wars for the sake of Islam, is cenk-nama or gazavat-nama. The number of verse and prose Hz. Ali cenk-namas, especially in the tradition of meddah, have a special place for themselves and many anonymous texts have been revealed from the 13th century to the 20th century, the first example of which we can find in this genre. The poets or narrators of very few of the Ali wars in verse are known, and poets of the Old Anatolian Turkish era such as Şeyyad İsa, Tursun Fakih, Yusuf-ı Meddâh, Nakîboğlu Taceddin, Beypazarılı Ma'âzoğlu Hasan are the main poets who wrote works on this subject. The main subject of this thesis is of a poet who has not entered literary literature before written in verse two composes the Hz. Ali cenk-nama. The poet in question is Ayân-zâde Molla İbrahim Şükrî, who lived in Ergani, Diyarbakir in the 19th century. The only manuscript copy of the poet's 1603 couplets Kan Kal'ası and 4511 couplets Hâver-zemîn mahtnawis, which consists of 330 pages and is written in a faint rica font, is registered with the Topkapı Palace Museum Turkish Manuscripts with the place number Y. 790. Our thesis, which consists of an introduction and four chapters in the first part, after a general evaluation about the poetic Hz. Ali cenk-namas, the copies of all the poetic cenk-namas registered in the libraries were introduced and a collective catalog was prepared for the first time. Summaries of verse wars and information about the work in this field is also given. In the second part; The life, literary personality and works of Ayan-zâde İbrahim Şükri are discussed. In the third chapter, the poet's "Kıssa-i Kan Kal'ası" and "Hikâye-i Hâver-zemîn", the analysis of the masnavis in terms of form and the translation of the texts into today's Turkish are also included, together with Thompson's Motif Index based content analysis. In the fourth chapter, Kan Kalesi, and Hâver-zemîn mahtnawis were transferred from Arabic letters to Latin letters by transcription method. With this study, an unknown poet and his works that were not mentioned in the publications on the subject came to light.
