Abstract (EN)

At the end of the First World War, the Paris Peace Conference was convened in order to change world politice and ensure international peace. The Paris Peace Conference, which became the court of the world after the Great War, determined the fate of the nations and a diplomatic war took place between the great powers that dominated the conference. The diplomatic war that took place and the first six months of the implementation process of the conference decisions and their importance for the Ottoman Empire were discussed in our master's thesis titled " According to The Turkish and Frence Press The Ottoman Empire The Paris Peace Conference ". Due to the disintegration of the multinational states at the end of the war, requests were received from the newly established nations to determine the borders. There were important problems waiting to be solved at the Paris Peace Conference convened on January 18, 1919. In order to solve these problems and set new boundaries, Wilson's Principles were prioritized. The Ottoman Empire, which is one of the multinational states and has quite large lands, was also affected by the Paris Peace Conference. Especially the decisions to be taken in important strategic regions affected the Ottoman Empire politically, economically and socially. The decisions to be implemented about the Ottoman Empire at the Paris Peace Conference and the issues that would concern the Ottoman nation were evaluated through the news in the Turkish press. The approach of the great powers to the conference was different and the decisions to be made about the Ottoman Empire were delayed. The reason for the delay of the decisions is that the issues related to the Ottoman State were subject to conflicts of interest. The Paris Peace Conference, which deeply affected world politics, became a source of hope for some nations and a door of opportunity for powerful states that were victorious from the war. The conference varied according to the purpose of the nations. The demands of minorities in the Ottoman Empire were also among the issues that put the state in a difficult situation. While the League of Nations was one of the important issues that would be of interest to world politics, which was discussed at the Paris Peace Conference, the other prominent concept was the "mandate". Each country's approach to key issues at the Paris Peace Conference has been different due to political interests.
