Abstract (EN)

In this study, it has been mentioned about lasers which have an important role in terms industry, and have many area of use. The types of this system has been investigated which supplies the improvement in terms of technology. In this thesis, the electron lasers, which is the one of the laser type, is decsribed, and the information about their physics, features and types is given. There are three types of FEL, oscillator FEL, amplifier FEL and SASE. The mode of IR-FEL lasers has been investigated which works in the infrared area of oscillator FEL. The suitability of the resonator and optic cavity parameters which produce the laser in the infrared free electron laser, and their calculation, determination is being studied in this research. THM is being performed by the coordinatorship of Ankara University and they aim to establish a infrared free electron laser laboratory in the framework of DPT-YUUP Project. To establish this laboratory the optic cavitiy parameters and the harmony of those parameters with the world laboratories optic cavity rates has been analysed. This Project is important in terms of the first free electron laser laboratory which is established in Turkey. The aim of the Project is to reach developed countries level in terms and to reduce our dependency to external countries through supplying some of our needs in lots of areas such as science, industry, medical and technology.
