Abstract (EN)
Humanity has faced many natural disasters throughout history. Along with the industrial revolution, industrial disasters also called technogenic disasters have been added to these disasters. Industrial disasters have the most devastating effect on nature and humanity, and they occur in oil and chemical plants. In this thesis, it is explained the development of the process with the regulations and the ongoing accidents and experiences that were put into practice after Seveso, an industrial disaster. However, there is a literature review on risk management. Seveso applications in Turkey and regulations and applications put into force in order to prevent major industrial accidents are examined through the samples of ports and storage facilities which are risky businesses in terms of industrial accidents. The study is completed with a discussion and conclusion letter.
