The cult of nature in Turkish mythology and its examination of reflections on Turkish painting art after 1950

Since the first creation of the universe and humanity, people who hug nature in order to survive, aim to use the nature with which they are intertwined and try to dominate it. They described it as an entity because they could not give concrete meaning to the natural events happening around them. With this analysis method, their belief in the sky, water, and natural beings was transferred among Turkish societies and became a cult in time. Mythological expressions, which take their place in our lives as stereotyped beliefs in Turkish culture, show their effects in daily life and art. This study is based on how the approach to nature is realized in Turkish painting. As an example, after 1950, as a period when Turkish Painting started to use nature mythology, it was discussed. The effects of symbols and symbols, which have a mythological meaning depending on the cult of nature, on Turkish painting after 1950 were tried to be determined. The data in the study prepared for this purpose were obtained by using qualitative research methods and techniques. Even though the stylistic methods of the artists classified in the research are different, traces of symbols and symbols that have nature and elements belonging to nature have been found.
