After scrutinizing the historical background of Turkish modernization,Turkish left?s approaches about the problem of Modernization was evaluated within ahistorical perspective. In this context, together with nationalist left, the international-liberal left?s views in regard to modernization were evaluated. The main concern of thisstudy is the Kadro movement and it?s approaches to Turkish modernization. In thisstudy, it is notified that a group of intellectuals, during the their short publication life,have aimed to create a national ideology of economy within the contours of nationalideology.
