Abstract (EN)

As a result of rapid development of technology, usage of internet has increasingly become widespread. Access to information and communication habits, trade, social and cultural life have irreversible been changed by the internet and other electronic devices. World have been acquainted with electronic commerce which every kind of commercial transaction made through electronic means and the Internet. Commercial life is turning its face to the electronic environment with a growing rate.Legal regulations, reports and recommendations have been prepared by either international organizations or technologically advanced countries in order to encourage trade and all kinds of trade-related transaction in internet environment and electronic tools, to ensure the security of electronic media and electronic commerce transactions since it can be easily intervened. In commercial life, borders between the countries have been disappeared because of the globalization and new electronic environment created by the internet. Since the technology used in internet is same, legal regulations regarding commercial transactions made through electronic means in the world should be cohesive worldwide, far from the locality with international quality.In Turkey which one of the largest economy, trying to be a full member of the European Union, competing against to the technologically leader countries, the commercial transactions carried out electronically and use of electronic commerce are increasing every day. In our county too, primarily, in order to ensure the security and legal validity of those transactions, new legal regulations are needed. In Turkey, preparation of new legal regulations which coherent with the European Union legal arrangement and provide validity to the electronic transactions have been started.In my thesis developements regarding electronic transactions in Turkish Trade Law will be examined in detail.
