An examination of country-based rankings of foreign students' aptitude for language learning in turkish language instruction

This study evaluated the effects of Turkish language instruction on non-native students. The research examines, in detail, the language-learning outcomes of students according to their countries of origin. Its primary premise is a historical overview of Turkish as a foreign language and a comparative analysis of past instructional methodologies versus contemporary approaches. Within this framework, the study identifies the challenges historically encountered in teaching Turkish and the modern solutions employed to address them. The investigation explores the specific difficulties non-native learners face when acquiring Turkish, the sources of their motivation, and the levels of proficiency they achieve. It analyses the factors underlying cross-national differences in learning success. It focuses on structural disparities between students' first languages and Turkish, cultural habits, and pedagogical practices within their home education systems. Furthermore, the research underscores the significance of cultural context in language instruction; exposure to elements of Turkish culture was found to render the learning process more meaningful and to enhance learner motivation. In particular, the study highlights the efficacy of digital technologies and interactive learning tools, such as online platforms and mobile applications, in advancing linguistic competence and sustaining engagement. The findings demonstrate that Turkish functions not only as a means of communication on the international stage but also as a cultural bridge with strategic importance. Finally, the study recommends effective pedagogical strategies in Turkish as a foreign language.
