Abstract (EN)

Crises, natural disasters, epidemics and similar extraordinary situations cause imbalances and difficulties in the employment market. When countries encounter disasters and extraordinary situations, they have to manage the effects of these situations on economic and social life. Policy measures taken in the process of dealing with these situations are of vital importance in protecting both the sustainability of businesses and the employment of employees. These situations can often lead to serious impacts on employment, and therefore preserving employment is a critical factor for the sustainability of social stability and economic development. For this reason, it is extremely important to implement active employment policies and balance labor supply and labor demand. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of these measures by examining the measures aimed at protecting employment during disasters and extraordinary situations in Turkey. It was carried out to understand the potential effects of disasters and extraordinary situations on business and employment and to evaluate strategies to cope with these effects.
