Abstract (EN)

This study aims to explore in depth the legal frameworks, regulations, and practices of labor law in Turkey and Azerbaijan within the context of employer-employee relations and labor law applications. In this framework, the Azerbaijan Labor Code, adopted on July 1, 1999, and the Turkish Labor Code No. 4857, adopted on June 10, 2003, are examined and compared. The definitions, significance, scope, and objectives of both codes are explained, and differences in aspects such as wages, employment contracts, occupational safety, work organization, rest, holidays, and leave are highlighted. This comparative analysis also addresses the economic, social, and cultural contexts of labor law practices in both countries. It evaluates the impact of labor law regulations and practices on economic growth, labor market stability, and the overall health of employer-employee relations. The findings of this study provide a comprehensive understanding of the functioning of labor law systems in both countries. Additionally, by exploring the similarities and differences in labor law, it offers valuable insights for academics, legal professionals, and researchers who wish to gain a deeper understanding of international labor law practices and discuss potential improvements.
