Abstract (EN)

In the study of "Turkey-Azerbaijan Relation 2000-2020" the history of the relations between two countries and the factors that affected these relation are analyzed. Beside the impacts of the shared historical and cultural values and geopolitics over the relations, historical struggles of regional and global powers over the geography are included. The study is indicating that the relations of two countries cannot be described based on the basic concepts (realism) of international relation which focused on mutual benefits and power factors. There are more needs to be analyze in relations of Turkey-Azerbaijan such as intimate cultural and historic ties. The main subject of this thesis is studying the last twenty years of relations and impacts of presidents of both countries on the improvement of relations. Additionally, the reciprocal sensitivity in the public opinion of two countries and influence of community leaders over the relations are included. Also "Strategic Partnership and Mutual Assistance Agreement" that strengthened reciprocal strategic investments and cooperation and institutionalized the relations are examined. Furthermore, contend of the energy and transportation projects which effects the region are analyzed in detail. The study consisted of three chapters. It is dwelled on "historical background and conceptual framework" in the first chapter, "course of affairs and analysis in the second chapter, "future of the affairs" in the third chapter.
