Abstract (EN)

Incentives have been one of the most important development tools in all economic policies. The main purpose of the incentives, which has developed from the past to the present and includes many elements that support investors and employers, is to increase production and employment by increasing investment capacities. In this way, while providing sectoral developments, their development in regionally underdeveloped cities will be increased with these planned regional incentive programs. Incentive practices, which are frequently used in developed and developing countries, are an extremely common development tool in our country. In this study, the structures and dynamics of regional investment incentives were examined and the effectiveness of investment incentives in regional development was tried to be determined. After examining the elements of investment incentives, the concept of the region in our country has been examined. Afterwards, the effects of investment incentives on development in these regions are discussed in detail. Finally, an exemplary region and the incentive structure of the province were examined. As a result of the examinations made within the scope of the study, it was observed that although regional investment incentives were successful, investments for the country were still more preferred in the western regions and the income inequality within the country remained almost the same instead of closing. For this reason, suggestions have been made for the distribution of incentive systems in order to increase the awareness and effectiveness of region-based incentives. Keywords: Investment Incentives, Regional Investment Incentives, Investment Incentive System.
